Towards a Cyber and Climate Resilient Digital Transition

The Kingdom of the Netherlands

The digital transition offers tremendous economic and social opportunities, including innovative solutions to address climate change. From smart meters to wind parks and early warning systems, the digital sector can be a driver of green growth. Such investments are growing, with many smart digital solutions and infrastructures for climate action being under development and deployment – bringing also new challenges such as potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats.
• Why is it important to develop an integrated approach towards a climate and cyber resilient digital transition?
• What good practices and safeguards we should incorporate in green and sustainable development projects to anticipate and mitigate cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities?
• What partnerships we need to foster between the Global North and Global Majority countries to ensure a cyber resilient green digital future for all?
