Ms. Laura Temesi

An accomplished executive with 18 years’ work experience in the technology and cyber security field. She currently leads the cyber partnerships and advocacy agenda of Standard Chartered Bank across all 51 markets. She is involved in regulatory consultations across Europe, Asia, America, and Africa and contributes to the draft legislations on cyber security and emerging technologies through the regional trade associations. She was also the champion and lead in implementation of a Women in Cyber mentorship program in East Africa by Standard Chartered Bank where 78 out of 100 mentees from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania graduated in June 2023. The program was awarded an Africa Gender Mainstreaming Award for investing in Young Women. Laura has held various leadership roles in the past including Chief Information Risk Officer (CIRO) at Stanbic Bank Kenya and acting Head of Internal Audit at Stanbic Bank Kenya.
