Sebastian Madden is PGI’s Chief Corporate Development Officer and serves on CREST’s International Council as CREST’s Middle East lead. He works in both roles to build cybersecurity and digital resilience capability and capacity internationally. Sebastian has 27 years of experience working at national level and has helped over sixty countries in five continents develop strategies, operating models, organisations and workforces to build cyber resilience, national security and civil emergency structures. Following his graduation from Oxford University, he began his professional career working for the UK Government. He was promoted to the Senior Civil Service in 2001 as Programme Director to build the UK’s national crisis management centre. He was appointed Chief of Staff to the UK National Security Advisor in 2002. He has also served as head of strategy and finance for a UK government agency and as an Associate Partner in a strategic consultancy firm.
