Mr. Oleg Petrov

Oleg Petrov has been with the World Bank since 1996 driving knowledge sharing, digital transformation and data-driven economy development working with over 40 countries. Most recently Oleg has been working on global initiatives on cybersecurity and digital resilience, data infrastructure and policies, and mainstreaming disruptive technologies. Earlier, he coordinated digital development reports and other advisory engagements in CIS countries, preparation of digital development investment projects in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan; and global knowledge sharing activities of the Bank’s Digital Development team, including the High-level Experts, Leaders, and Practitioners (HELP) for Transformation, Smart Nations, Digital Economy and Open Data Communities. Oleg holds a master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University) and Diplomas from the Plekhanov Russian Economics University and Moscow International University.
