Mr. Brett DeWitt

Brett drives global cybersecurity public policy strategies to enable a more secure, inclusive, and innovative digital economy. His team collaborates across business functions, regional public policy and regulatory affairs teams, and external stakeholders to advise on political dynamics and policy engagement initiatives. Brett represents Mastercard in international trade associations, engages in public-private partnerships, supports the development of policy solutions for governments, and coordinates external communications. Brett also served as Chief of Staff for the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC) to coordinate the development of critical infrastructure initiatives with its financial services members.

Previously, Brett served over a decade in the U.S. House of Representatives. As Staff Director for the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection and Security Technologies Subcommittee, Brett successfully helped lead the efforts to draft and pass cybersecurity legislation that authorized the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Brett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UCLA.
