Simon Melchior is a co-founder and general director of Cyber Defense Africa S.A.S. (“CDA”), a JV between the Republic of Togo and the Asseco Group providing cybersecurity services in Togo and beyond its borders, with a security operations center (SOC) in Lomé and a computer emergency response team that operates the Togo CERT. Simon is also co-founder and CEO of Axendit Ltd. (formerly known as Asseco Software Nigeria Ltd.), which was incorporated in 2014 as a start-up and has grown to become a leading Nigerian IT company.
In 2024, Simon has lead the management buy-out of Asseco Nigeria, which was rebranded in July 2024 to Axendit. The purpose of the company is to drive positive change using technology, by creating local added value in terms of software development, implementation and support, as well as developing local skills in cutting edge areas such as unmanned aerial vehicles and cybersecurity.
