Gill joined the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) in June 2018 and has spent several years scaling cyber hygiene initiatives and capacity building across multiple countries with particular focus on micro, small businesses, and vulnerable communities. Her early career was spent within the telecommunications industry where she held senior positions in both technical and business development roles. She took time out with her young family in 2009 and on her return, she found the drive towards digitalisation, whilst positive, was also highlighting serious data and online security failings on a global scale – exponentially increasing to the proliferation of cybercrime. Shocked also by the growing global digital divide she joined GCA and their mission to address systemic cyber risk to enable a secure and trustworthy Internet for all.
Gill graduated from the University of Reading, UK, with a degree in Electronic Engineering.
