Dr. James J Kimuyu

Col (Dr) James J. Kimuyu is the current Director of the National Computer and Cybercrimes Coordination Committee (NC4). Previously, Dr Kimuyu was a Senior Lecturer and Head of Research at the Centre for Security and Strategic Studies (CSSS), National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K). He holds a PhD in Information Systems, MSc in Information Systems, BSc in Information Sciences, and Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Studies (UoN), and other professional and Military courses. Col (Dr) Kimuyu has over 23 years of practical experience in defence, national security, administration, management, logistics, and technical maintenance as well as teaching and research at university and tertiary colleges. His research interest is in using ICT in Defence, National Security, Peace Support Operations, National development, and prescribing solutions to modern human security challenges. As the Head of Research, he oversaw the production of an academic, peer-reviewed Journal, the National Security: A Journal of National Defence University-Kenya.
