Women in Cyber Capacity Building Network (WiCCB) Lunch Session: Networks, Not Silos – Co-Creating an Inclusive and Future-Ready Cyber Workforce

Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE)

Cybersecurity cannot be built by homogenous teams solving global problems in silos. It demands inclusive leadership, diverse talent pipelines, and a shared commitment to equity. This lunchtime gathering—hosted by the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise’s (GFCE) Women in Cyber Capacity Building Network (WiCCB)—is more than a panel; it’s a space to exchange ideas, spotlight solutions, and catalyze collective action.

WiCCB is a network of networks—actively building a leadership pipeline, a global peer community, and a platform for mentorship, collaboration, and impact. It connects women from different regions, disciplines, and leadership levels to help shape cybersecurity not just as a technical field—but as a fair, inclusive, and future-ready ecosystem.

To close the cybersecurity workforce gap and meet the demands of the future of work, we need more than just training programs—we need gender-transformative, inclusive, and equity-driven approaches. This means dismantling systemic barriers, addressing algorithmic and institutional bias, and designing learning and employment pathways that reach across lines of gender, ability, and opportunity to expand who gets to participate—and lead—in cybersecurity.

Featuring leaders reshaping the global cyber landscape, this session will spotlight real-world initiatives that are reimagining how we recruit, train, and elevate diverse cybersecurity talent. From innovative education-to-employment models to inclusive leadership development and AI-conscious workforce strategies, this is a conversation about what’s working, what’s next, and how we collectively create cybersecurity ecosystems where everyone—not just the few—can thrive.
