New and emerging technologies continue to develop at an exponential pace. But so do the opportunities for their exploitation by malicious actors. Technological innovations, such as Artificial Intelligence, are leveraged by cybercriminals to create new attack tools and techniques, increasing their operational capabilities and diversifying their targets globally. As developing economies invest in their digital transition, they also become a fertile ground for attacks by cybercrime gangs. To stay ahead of cybercriminals, public and private actors across the ecosystem need to cooperate more and utilize new technologies to their advantage.

  • What effective and scalable approaches can help address these new and emerging threats?
  • What lessons can be drawn to amplify public-private cooperation for capacity building initiatives against cybercrime?
