Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building (GC3B) Website Privacy Statement
Your privacy is critically important to us. We have adopted this Privacy Policy to explain what information may be collected on our website, how we use this information, and under what circumstances we may disclose the information to third parties. This Privacy Statement applies only to information we collect through the website and does not apply to our collection of information from other sources.
Gathering of Personally Identifying Information
Certain visitors to the GC3B’s website choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather personally identifying information. The amount and type of information that the GC3B gathers depends on the nature of the interaction.
Personal data that you provide on this website is used only for the purpose for which you provided it, including all organizational acts for the event for which you register. This also includes general photo and video material that is produced from the event and can be used for reporting and promoting the event or future events
Data Protection
Under Data Protection laws, conform the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. We use your personal data only for the purpose for which you provided it.
To be able to process your registration for the event you will be asked to make your data available. If you also want to receive (news) messages from the GC3B in the future or register your interest in attending the GC3B, you can indicate on the registration form that we may also use your personal data, such as your name, e-mail address and telephone number (optional).
The data is only processed and reported at an aggregated level. This is done by PINO events and conferences BV and its sub-processors on behalf of the GC3B. Upon request, the Swiss authorities may process data about you that are necessary for security checks, checking in particular that there are no incompatible grounds, in order to guarantee the security of the conference, its participants and in particular persons with diplomatic or consular status and other persons enjoying the protection of public international law. If there are grounds that are incompatible with this data processing, registration may be refused.
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can send a request for inspection, correction or removal to contact@gc3b.org.
The GC3B does not store personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which you left it. The data is then destroyed. If you have indicated that you wish to continue to receive (news) messages from the GC3B, your data will be saved. You can indicate in the meantime that we may no longer use your data. You can do this by sending an email to contact@gc3b.org or via the opt-out at the bottom of the concerning (news) messages.
